What types of jobs are not offered?

These are just the most common but not all:

  • Electrical panel upgrades, new circuit installations, or breaker relocations
     

  • Gas-line installations or major appliance hookups (such as water heaters or cooktops)
     

  • Structural alterations (including walls, decks, or load-bearing elements)
     

  • Major plumbing reroutes or sewer/water main work that require permits
     

  • Roof Work and Hot work

Legal restrictions limit this service to small-to-medium jobs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Are teams sent for work?

No—each job under $1,000 is performed by a single technician, ensuring consistency and compliance with legal requirements. Licensed contractors would be necessary for larger jobs requiring multiple workers.

Why are projects over $1,000 not accepted?

California law (January 2025) allows unlicensed individuals to complete jobs up to $1,000. Any larger project:

  • Requires a licensed contractor (per CSLB regulations)

  • May need permits, inspections, or additional liability coverage

Yes—general liability insurance is maintained up to $1 million, providing protection for both the client and the property.

What if a licensed contractor is needed?

When a project exceeds the $1,000 limit or involves permit-required work, referrals to reliable licensed contractors are provided for plumbing reroutes, structural repairs, or other regulated tasks.
